But in reality?
It’s your subconscious mind running hidden "mental traps"—psychological roadblocks that keep you in hesitation, overthinking, and procrastination.
The good news? Once you recognize these traps, you can break free from them.

_________
🧠 Trap #1: The "I Need More Information" Lie
Have you ever told yourself…
💭 "I just need to learn a little more before I take action."
This is one of the most deceptive mental traps because it feels productive.
We all value learning and growth—but there’s a difference between acquiring knowledge and using knowledge as an excuse to delay action.
🚨 Why This Trap Feels So Real
Learning feels like progress. Reading books, watching videos, and taking courses gives us a dopamine hit—it makes us feel like we’re moving forward.
But knowledge without action is just mental clutter. The subconscious mind delays action to avoid risk—fear of failure, judgment, or making the "wrong" decision.
✅ How to Escape This Trap
1️⃣ Embrace Incremental Action → You already know enough to take the first step. Take it now.
2️⃣ Follow the "Learn-to-Action Ratio" → For every 30 minutes of learning, spend 60 minutes applying.
3️⃣ Ask Yourself: "What’s one action I can take right now?"
🚀 Your mantra to remember!: "Implementation beats information"
_________
🧠 Trap #2: The "All or Nothing" Mindset
💭 "If I can’t do this perfectly, I might as well not do it at all."
This perfectionist mindset creates a built-in excuse to quit.
The subconscious mind wants certainty and control—so when something doesn’t go according to plan, it tries to convince you to stop altogether.
🚨 Why This Trap Keeps You Stuck
You believe that if you can’t do something 100%, it’s not worth doing at all.
It’s a form of self-sabotage—because if you don’t start, you don’t have to face potential failure.
🔥 Example: New Year’s Resolutions
Someone commits to working out 5 times a week.
They miss one day and think, “Well, I already messed up, might as well quit.”
✅ How to Escape This Trap
1️⃣ Lower the bar for success → Instead of "I need to work out for an hour," start with 5 minutes of movement.
2️⃣ Focus on "Minimum Viable Action" → What’s the smallest action you can take today?
3️⃣ Use the "80% Rule" → If something is 80% good enough, launch it, start it, do it.
🚀 Your mantra to remember!: "Done is better than perfect."
_________
🧠 Trap #3: The "I’ll Feel Ready Someday" Illusion
💭 "I’ll start when I feel ready."
This is one of the most dangerous traps because it feels rational.
We tell ourselves we’re waiting for the right moment, the right mindset, or more confidence—but the truth is, waiting only leads to more waiting.
🚨 Why This Trap Feels So Real
We crave certainty. The brain wants to know, "Will I succeed?" before we take action.
So we keep preparing, reading, and planning. But despite all of our preparation… we never feel "ready enough."
🚀 Truth Bomb:
"If you WAIT for a feeling of readiness before you ever take action… you’ll never take action."
✅ How to Escape This Trap: Mental Rehearsal
Instead of waiting to feel ready, you create the feeling yourself.
One of the best tools for this is mental rehearsal (visualization).
🔥 Example: Michael Phelps & Visualization
The legendary Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps used mental rehearsal to create a feeling of certainty before races.
His coach once said:
"By the time Michael gets up on the blocks to swim in the World Championships or Olympics, he’s swum that race hundreds of times in his mind before he gets up there." (source here)
This is how you train your brain to "feel ready" before you take action.
🔹 How to Use Mental Rehearsal:
1️⃣ Visualize Yourself Taking Action → Close your eyes and see yourself doing the thing you’re afraid of.
2️⃣ Picture It Going Well → Use all five senses—see it, hear it, feel it. Make it real.
3️⃣ Feel the Success Emotion in Advance → When you repeatedly visualize success, your subconscious starts believing it’s possible.
🚀 Your mantra to remember!: "Rehearse It → Feel It → Take Action."
